Abstract
Effective use of information technology is one of the key success factors of organizations in gaining competitive advantage and providing better services to customers. The ever-increasing growth of developments and innovations in this field has created challenges in coordinating information technology strategies with organizational strategies. Coordinating information technology strategies with new business strategies is considered as one of the top ten issues of executive managers in this field. Despite the various methods and models that have been proposed and used in the past decades to solve the coordination problem, there are still serious challenges in this field. Technology planning has always been considered as one of the effective ways to align an organization's strategy with its technology plans. However, this approach has not been used to solve the problem of "coordinating information technology strategies with new business strategies". Therefore, this study reviews and analyzes the literature related to the coordination problem and highlights the challenges that have not been solved by the existing tools and models in this field. On the other hand, the theoretical and practical concepts of technology guidance are also analyzed. Finally, the concept of information technology roadmap planning method in order to develop a technology roadmap for the coordination of information technology strategies with the strategies of start-up businesses in the next 5 years with the latest developments in the field of information technology has been examined and the prototype of the
