Abstract
With the increasing expansion of small and medium businesses in today's world, competition in the new space has become more difficult than before; In this regard, the current research was conducted with the aim of understanding the concept of competitive strategy and its application in small and medium businesses. The research method is applied in terms of purpose and a mixed research approach. In the qualitative part, the meta-combination method was performed using the method of Sandelowski and Barroso (2007), for this purpose, 12 articles during the years 2010-2023 found the conditions to be included in the study. In the quantitative section, 6 small and medium-sized businesses were investigated in the field of using competitive strategy codes in the field of online education, using the quantitative content analysis method. The met composite results showed that the concept of competitive strategy is explained in 5 main categories of cost leadership, concentration, differentiation, diversity and innovation. It was also found that extra-curricular, Franesh and Maktabkhone businesses have the most frequency in terms of competitive strategy codes. Regarding the degree of realization of the competitive strategy, the concepts of service development, cost saving and innovation at the right time have the most frequency and penetration in the market, while innovation in the method and market development have the lowest frequency among the competitive strategy codes. It seems that competitive strategies have not been of much interest to small and medium-sized businesses in the field of online education, and the implementation of these strategies will play an important role in advancing their performance.
