Overview of the Green Ocean Strategy: Democratizing Business Knowledge for Sustainable Development

Abstract
Knowledge is a valuable and strategic resource as well as an asset, and it is difficult and sometimes impossible to provide products and services with appropriate and economical quality without proper management and use of this valuable resource. Today, countries introduce the goals of sustainable development to protect and improve the environment and society. As a result, organizations began to value the importance of the green environment, which prompted them to pay attention to their redesign. The aim of the current research is to study and investigate a set of organizational processes to achieve an innovative and sustainable strategy by using human intellectual capital in the way of people and institutions. This paper introduces the concept of green ocean strategy with the help of a business transformation framework that can help an organization to achieve from red to blue and from blue to green strategies. This research is in terms of practical purpose, in terms of qualitative type and according to the method of data collection, it is a library (secondary studies of metacomposite type) and based on the study of online information sources. The article concludes that democratization of knowledge contributes to sustainable competitive advantage through strengthening organizational learning. Such an approach can lead an organization to sustainable development through a new type of management and leadership, which is defined as a green ocean strategy.
