Abstract
The rapid pace of technological advancement and the widespread adoption of financial technologies have necessitated digital transformation in the banking industry, impacting the future of human resources in banks. This mixed, exploratory, and applied research, with a forward-looking perspective and using the Delphi method, aims to identify the influential factors and future scenarios of human resources in banks following digital transformation in Iran's banking industry by the horizon of 2034-2035. It also provides recommendations to prepare Iran's banking industry for these changes. Initially, through library studies and interviews with five human resources experts in the banking industry, 50 factors influencing the future of human resources in banks after digital transformation in Iran's banking industry by 2034 were identified. Subsequently, using the Delphi method, 37 factors with the most significant impact were ranked based on their influence. Following this, considering the six most impactful factors according to experts (organizational acceptance of financial technologies, introduction of emerging financial technologies, social changes, transformational leadership, digital skills, and agile organizational structure), three scenarios were designed through library studies and expert consensus: human-centric banking, human-automation coexistence, and robot-centric banking. The human-automation coexistence scenario was identified as the most probable, and strategies to address this scenario were proposed.
